Elders say that “Marriages are made in Heaven” and it is equally true that the effort must happen on Earth for the same to take place.
And that sincere commitment to effort prompted “Sahaya Ashrita Seva Samithi” to get started by Late Shri Adi Shankar Ivaturi in 1995. This originated as a Service oriented Organization. He started this Marriage Information Center (MIC) – affiliated to FOBMIC – (Federation of Brahmin Marriage Information Center), an Organization to render services to the community starting from identifying the needs of the Community. He was one of those few people who visualized the need for professionally managed matrimonial services with a perpetual focus on changing requirements, expectations from both sides of Bride and Bridegroom and with an equal understanding of the technological changes the Society undergoes, constantly.
SAHAYA was the 1st MIC to have initiated the trendy practice of organizing the “Vadhu Varula Parichaya Vedika” during 1996; the most beneficial factor was the venues where these events where held were Temples, schools and Community Halls keeping the overhead costs very minimal. Sahaya carries the distinctive record for organizing about 50+ Marriage Conventions and performing more than 400+ marriages within a span of 7 years. This had blessings of Pujya Jayendra Saraswati, Pujya Vijayendra Saraswati and the grace from Pushpagiri Peetham etc., with the August presence of various Swamijis in many of the marriage conventions held.
MIC envisaged constant progressions in the matrimonial space within its chosen community and was among the first ones to have conceived and conceptualized many tailor-made solutions accordingly, through its regular conventions, catering to a wide cross section of the community across various locations. It was always spirited to accept feedback and suggestions to incorporate in its undertakings to meet the expectations of its clients and help maximize the results as favorably as possible. Most times, these events enjoyed the unconditional support of volunteers from various fields like Astrology, Catering, Counseling/Consulting and co-ordination of events offering their willing services for free.
The Marriage Counseling:
Based on the requirements given by the parents for the Bride / Bride Grooms, the parents were counseled and suitably advised on the current trends helping the parents to find alliances in quick and shortest possible time which were mutually deserving and befitting. There were many instances, where the marriages were performed within a week from the time the most suitable match was referred to the parents. There were many such parents who conveyed their gratitude to SAHAYA and constantly supported through good referrals and testimonials. This, on the other hand, only helped SAHAYA to be more responsible and highly result oriented in its efforts. This sincere commitment to the community had only grown bigger in its journey and lasted all through, permeating to the deeper layers of community seeking matrimonial and allied services & support. This approach influenced many such service providers in the market to follow the suite. They quickly aligned not only to this style of functioning but also made a formal accord with SAHAYA for collaborating from time to time for sustained and successful results.
The events organized by SAHAYA were widely covered in the newspapers by way of articles published periodically. Soon, it became one of the most trusted and well notified Marriage Information Centers in Hyderabad those days.
